About Me
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me and my work.
I have been working in mental health services for over 25 years, and during that time I’ve had the privilege of supporting many people through some of the most challenging and meaningful moments of their lives. Over the course of my career, I have worked with a wide variety of difficulties, from work-related stress and general anxiety and phobias through to depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief that therapy can make a real and lasting difference in helping people find a way forward.
From the beginning of my career, I’ve been guided by the idea that people are not defined by their difficulties but by their capacity to adapt and grow. I’ve witnessed how even small shifts in perspective or behaviour can lead to meaningful and lasting change. Being part of that journey with clients continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
Professionally, my practice is grounded in evidence-based approaches. I hold a Doctorate from King’s College London and am registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). This ensures that the therapy I offer is safe, effective, and aligned with the highest professional standards. My core approach combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness-based interventions. CBT provides practical tools for understanding and shifting unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, while mindfulness creates space for calm, resilience, and greater self-compassion. Together, these approaches help people move away from cycles of worry, fear, or low mood and towards lives that feel more open and fulfilling.
Many people also seek support because life feels overwhelming—stress at work, pressures at home, or simply a sense of being stuck. In these situations, therapy provides a safe, supportive space to reflect, gain clarity, and explore new ways forward.
While I bring years of training and experience, I believe the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. Therapy is a collaborative process—we work together to explore your challenges, build on your strengths, and find approaches that fit your needs.
If you’re considering therapy, I’d be glad to talk with you about how I can support you on your journey.
